Planets
so... as i was looking at some of my smaller planets... i was wondering... is it worth it to get rid of partially developed small planets in favor of a new larger one?

at least i thought there was a way of abandoning them... i can't seem to find it now...

Yes, it is. I have had 2 planets destroyed on my orders today. Go to the planet you want rid of, go to the overview screen, and click on the planet name at the top of the fleet movement list, like when you name the colony. You have the option there to abandon it.
