Specialist Tech options (kept secret, so no-one knows what they are)

when you get to a certain level in two or more tech's (probably 10 or higher) it opens up a new specialised option for either buildings or improvemnts/upgrades to existing vessles, even strange new ships. with the downer of only being able to specialise once, so you cant get them all.

How would the be kept secret though? After a while every body would know and have them.

despot, logicly a fighter can't travel between planets, she don't have the capabilitie for it.

so that's why i said the HANGAR's idea and the carriers idea. also if that's how the game work on firepower i think they should change it.

like fighters can't attack shielded units or defences, she only attacks unshielded units.

but she attract the heavy firs from big ships, so ur biggest ships can survive.

I understand that. The whole point of "fighters" as they exist now is to give starting empires an offensive capability.

Obviously if different ship types were introduced, one mandatory new ship would have to be something to give beginning empires a chance to earn a living.

or just not have them listed in the tech section, not everyone checks these forums, and once one cool tech is found, everyone may swarm to that, and no-one would discover something massively more usful elsewhere...

meh, your right, it wouldnt stay secret for long, but there would be a mad scramble to find and understand them.

Um, yeah, but if the defender also has a cargo ship, the battle will be a draw. A single cargo ship would make you invulnerable. And as for a single rocket launcher........

it's a small ship that can flight between planets in high speedbut not between galaxies.

well at least not for me i'm used to waiting hours on buidlings and right now i could pass time just by watching it tick
