here is a small tip for everyone.

First, fighters should exist on all ur fleet, why? too simple, they are used as meat shield, they attract the enemy fires so they can save ur bigger ships.

second,the best attack is strategies is the follwing:
1st wave/ a fighters drop, they well kill all unshielded units and defences.
2nd wave/ send ur destroyers and bombers, they well kill all kind of big units like cruiser battlecruiser and BS's.
3rd wave/ send all ur big ships, his unshielded defences well be easy to take as there is nothing to defend.
4th wave/ send ur recyclers with an escort fleet made from Hfighters and destroyers.

ireally use this strategie on all my other games and tit works :)

or you could send all of your fleet and destroy them in one go

like this ur units well be under danger. but if u send them in different waves, u well save u big ships, wich mean less losees :)

but fadel then in the battle report for the first wave it'll say you lost more than they did if you didn't lose the battle

& when you get higher losing big ships isn't a problem unless you lose alot of big ships

That strategy would work with a system that limited each ship to a single target each round, however since this game works on total firepower, it is not such an issue.

The carrier idea etc are quite interesting, however it would destroy the early part of the game. Certainly smaller vessels should not be able to leave their galaxy without accompanying larger ships to refuel from, however in the early part of the game you will rely on them leaving your home system in order to be able to raid.

Not being able to raid until you have cruisers would really slow things down.

It would also be nice to be able to send a fleet to a debris field to guard it while your recyclers are en route. Perhaps attacks could have the option to sentry DF's created before returning.

Having DF's targetable by all vessels with all missions would help, as you could then probe a field to find any defending fleets.

Random Suggestion
Specialist Tech options (kept secret, so no-one knows what they are)

when you get to a certain level in two or more tech's (probably 10 or higher) it opens up a new specialised option for either buildings or improvemnts/upgrades to existing vessles, even strange new ships. with the downer of only being able to specialise once, so you cant get them all.
