Suggestions for the game.

Suggestion One
A way to upgrade your light units to heavy units. This idea would allow players to build defenses and fleets early in the game and have them be of waste later. Be of waste meaning what are the 50 light fighers you made early in the game going to mean in an attack later. Especially after rapid fire is introduced, even a cruiser has rapid fire on a light fighter. This upgrade can be done for light/heavy fighters, lazers, and cargo's. Maybe even cruisers to Battlecruisers.

Obviously this should cost something, so what i propose for cost is this. . .
A Light Figher costs 1500 metal and 1500 crystal. A Heavy Fighter costs 10000 metal and 2500 crystal.
Since 10000-1500=8500 and 2500-1500=1000. The cost should be at least that or over. I propose 9000 metal and 1500 crystal for modifications to the ship. The same can be done to the others.


Suggestion Two
Veteran Units.
Fleets that have seen a battle of moderate size (on both sides of the conflict, so there can't be farming of this) are given a certain % boost to their attack.
This idea can also be introduced so players can go without conflict. You could send your fleets through a training session which costs resources. This improves attack but not maybe not as high as a real combat experience? Idk, I'll let the game admin decide that.

i think these ideas are ok but that will give people the ability to make a god-like fleet all you would have to do is build a really big fleet attack someone again and agiain till you've got a really good attack boost then youll be unstoppable wich makes the game harder for turtles and the like we dont want all our prey turnning into fleeters thats just idiotic :lol: but i like the idea of upgrading light fighters to heavy fighters kinda reminds me of sid miers civilisation revolution
but i dont think it should stop at l fighters to hf maybe you should do cruisers to bombers battleships to battlecruisers sc to lc and more stuff like that or you could introduce the same for defences LL toHL um RL to GC (costing tons of resources ofcourse) and IC to PT LSD to SSD etc etc

I don't know if i clarified this. You can't stack the veteran upgrades to make them better and better. There is a max that you can reach. Maybe say, after surviving two battles. Or even just a one time upgrade.

Anyone can attack someone twice in this game. So it's just as easy for a turtle player to get the boost as a. . . rabbit. But it's only the ships that survive that get it and the battle has to be "even" to be elligable for the upgrade. So there won't be too many fighters getting the upgrade so easy.

no turtles dont build fleets so unless the upgrades include defences i dont like it and even if it did i still dont like it say someone has 100% weapons shield & armour with this upgrade it would be almost impossible to destroy them sorry but i dont like this one at all

Sounds like a good idea, but not easy to bolt on. Could have upgrades to fleets available at certain levels of weapon / armour / shield tech. Say every 5 levels or so.

Light Fighters do have their uses. Since only cruisers and death stars have rapid fire on them, they can be quite handy for taking down Battleship / Battlecruiser / Destroyer / Bomber fleets. Not that I should be telling anyone that really. So forget I said it. They are naff. Don't build them. There's nothing to see here. These are not the droids you're looking for :arrow:

You're welcome. So remember you gnat swatters (cruisers) to escort your capital ships. Not that this means an awful lot until / unless rapid fire is activated.

I like that idea! I think another good idea based on espionage tech would be targeting.

*Clears throat*

For example say you get your report back and you get see that the enemy fleet has 25 cruisers and 50 heavy fighters. It would be a nice perk if you could choose which type of enemy it would attack first. That way you could concentrate on getting the bigger threat finished first. But i also believe that each planet should that ability also for defenses. It would make the game much more about stratedgy than brute force.
