in Technologies, Im not sure if anywhere else as well, colony ship is spelled with a small c, unlike the other technologies which are capitalized...

Both are acceptable spellings. We North Americans spell it Defense. Aussies, New Zealanders and Britons spell it Defence. Eitherway, it's English.

The game is in English, not American English. Otherwise armour would be incorrectly spelled armor.
