How to send Rubies to other players

Look at the left navigation bar and select 'Search'. Another window will open asking you to select how to search, search player, enter a player name in the form field, and click the search button. In the next window that comes up you will see next to the name a yellow and white 'BS', it's by the 'friend request' green dot. Hover over and then click the yellow and white 'BS' initial to send rubies to anyone you want.
