What does a nanite factory do is it good to get i am really close but i dont want to waste my resouces

Nanites are probably the most usefull single building in the game. As stated, each level will halve the production time for ships and buildings, so with a few levels you can knock out those RIP's in under 5 hours 
An interesting point is that with lvl 10 robo-factories, each level of nano takes 18 hours to build. The construction time doubles with each level, as with other buildings, however as the nano keeps halving times, the construction time for them remains constant. It is worth getting a couple more levels of robo factory just to speed this up a bit.
