if it isnt there straight after the attack then you didnt get a moon

The moon will form instantaneously if it is going to form.

Collect your debris before I do.

It will be in the combat report and appear in the Galaxy view immediately following the battle if one was created.

eg:
The attacker has won the battle !

If a Moon hasn't formed after a minute or two ..is't not going to happen...Moon chances are on a "dice roll"... matter of luck! Get your debris in before someone else finds a better use for it! Probability of creating a Moon is 18%..out of 100%..gives you less than 1 chance in 5.All random..luck of the draw!
