How does terraforming help?
Can anyone give specific ways it helps?

do terraformers take energy after you build them?

not that i've noticed.

No, only resource production buildings require energy.

So im assuming that for every advancement of this you only get a certain number of places. When i was first reading it i thought it meant that the terra former would continuely build and for every level of advancement it would increase the percentage of growth.
I built one on my home planet and it only went up by eight fields.... is this all i should expect per advancement? How exactely does this terra former function i would really love to know.

Each level gives you a one off set of extra fields. Like Lunar Bases for planets
