This would be an interesting concept. With planets scattered over the galaxies and systems. High speed trade lanes would be an interesting and strategic advantage for all the players. These trade lanes would help the ships to move from galaxy to galaxy at faster cruise speed, minimising the deut consumption. Deut is the most important resource in this game. The more you have the bigger the fleet would be. So trade lanes are much a necessity like the jumpgates.
